CCJA Summer Institute Week 1: 6/7-6/12

Our Jazz Theory Classes as part of the CCJA Summer Institute cover a wide array of theoretical topics with the focus on fundamentals and their application for use in jazz improvisation CCJA Faculty will guide students through fundamental topics of jazz theory including major scales, chord construction, chord progression, and musical forms such as the 12-bar blues.
The Level 1 (Introductory) Class is for anyone regardless of your familiarity or background with jazz theory! This is an excellent place to begin. If you're unsure about the right placement for one of CCJA's Theory Classes, you're welcome to take our pre-test and we'd be happy to let you know which course is the best fit.
